About Catalyst Integration for Health

We get it. You’re tired of long waits, automated phone menus that hang up on you, overworked staff, and clinicians who seem burned out before you even walk in the door. You’re looking for someone with real energy—someone who actually takes the time to listen, shoots you a quick reply, and treats you like a person, not just a number.

That’s the idea behind Catalyst Integration for Health. We’re a small, locally owned clinic right here in Sacramento—a different kind of practice. When we first opened, we focused on providing innovative treatments like ketamine and Spravato (esketamine) for depression, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD. Our patients pretty quickly began to ask if we could manage all their mental health needs. We’ve got years of experience with psychiatric diagnoses and medication management, so we expanded. We now offer everything from diagnosis to treatment for ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD and more—all using the latest, proven methods.

And what else makes us different? We’re proudly independent—no big investors, no corporate owners. We’re rooted in Sacramento. Our goal is simple: treat everyone like a person, not a customer. Our patients tell us they love the fast follow-up, speaking to a real person on the phone, and feeling truly heard—all without the stress of waiting weeks or sitting on hold listening to an AI-gnerated voice say' "Your call is important to us" over and over.

All of this isn’t just something our PR team or web designer cooked up—because we don’t have either. We sat down ourselves, built this website, and shaped it around what we truly care about. (And hats off to anyone who does website design—this stuff is hard!)

Meet Eric Tepper, MD, Founder and Medical Director

Dr. Eric Tepper is a board-certified physician with over 20 years of experience blending primary care and mental health. He got his medical degree from MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in 2000 and completed his residency and board certification before opening his private practice in Sacramento in 2003. Over the years, he’s become a trusted voice in the local health community.

Dr. Tepper has worked as an attending physician at Sutter General and Mercy General hospitals, and he even served as chair of the Family Medicine department. He's spent years teaching residents and mentoring the next generation of doctors. He’s also been the medical director for several psychiatric clinics in Sacramento, gaining deep experience managing depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and a wide range of mental health issues.

Back in 2019, when FDA approved esketamine (Spravato) as a breakthrough for treatment-resistant depression, Dr. Tepper trained extensively in its use. After seeing how much this powerful treatment could help his patients, he founded Catalyst Integration for Health — a REMS-certified clinic focused on ketamine and esketamine therapies for depression, trauma, and anxiety.

Today, Dr. Tepper is nationally recognized for his work with ketamine — he trains doctors all across the country on how to use it safely and effectively. He stays on the cutting edge of this rapidly evolving field, all with the goal of helping more people find relief.

Outside of work, Dr. Tepper is deeply involved in the Sacramento community. He’s volunteered as a team doctor for local high school sports and Boy Scouts, and he supports schools, nonprofits, and other organizations through his volunteer work. Through Catalyst’s Giving Back initiative, 100% of profits from our online shop go straight to nonprofits both here at home and around the world.

Meet Deborah Murray, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Deborah is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 30 years of hands-on experience. She’s worked with all ages—from kids as young as 10 to adults—and has seen a wide range of diagnoses. These days, she’s focused on helping patients navigate everything from anxiety and depression to trauma and more, providing care that’s both compassionate and practical.

Before joining us, Deborah spent 14 years working directly with patients as a family nurse practitioner. She’s also taught at several universities, sharing her knowledge with future nurses and health professionals. Her journey in healthcare started at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Texas, where she earned her nursing degree. Then she got her Master of Science from Syracuse University and later completed her post-masters certification as a family nurse practitioner at the University of Massachusetts. To bring her skills into the mental health arena, she went back to school and earned her psychiatric nurse practitioner certification from Purdue Global University.

When she's not working with patients, Deborah loves reading, traveling, camping, and spending time outdoors with her family. She believes in caring for people like they’re family, and she’s here to support you every step of the way.

Meet Fatima Rivera (medical assistant)

Our medical assistant, Fatima, has been with Dr. Tepper since 2014, and she’s genuinely loved by our patients for her warmth, caring personality, and sense of humor. Here’s her story—because she really says it best:

"My time here has deepened my love for patient care and growth. I truly see and treat patients like they’re family. When I’m not at work, you can find me by the ocean, traveling the world, spending time with my family, or hanging out with my pets. The most rewarding part of this job? The connections I’ve built over the years with patients and their families. If you have any questions or concerns about your treatment or just want to chat, I’m here—ready to help in any way I can."

Reflecting Our Values: Care That Reaches Beyond the Clinic

At Catalyst, supporting global mental health and humanitarian causes is important to us. We designed a collection of products—from t-shirts to stickers to tote bags—and 100% of the profit goes directly to non-profit organizations working to make a difference around the world.

Every purchase helps support causes that are truly making a difference on a global scale. Check out the collection and find something you love by clicking here.

Don't Want Out-Of-State Venture Capitalists To Be In Charge of Your Care? You're In The Right Place.

Sacramento is home for us—we’ve lived and worked here for decades. We’re not part of some big corporation or owned by outside investors. We’re just a small, local team that cares about doing this the right way. When you come to us, you’re not just another patient--you’re a part our community.

When you call, most of the time, you’ll talk to a real person. Sure, it would be cheaper for us to have an automated phone tree answer all our calls, but honestly, we hate getting stuck in those systems, too. When we do miss a call--which we do, because we're human--we will get back to you quickly, because waiting days or playing phone tag isn’t how we roll. You should feel like someone’s actually there for you, right now.

Our Approach to Care

We believe that real connection doesn’t come from scripts or quick answers—it comes from actually listening. We’re here to hear your story, understand what you’re feeling, and work with you on a plan that feels right. No pressure, no nonsense. Just honest support to help you feel more in control, more focused, and like yourself again.

Our Services

  • Psychiatric Evaluation:
Think of this as a conversation with people who want to understand what you’re going through. We’ll find out how you've been feeling, your history, what’s been working—or not working—and figure out how to get you feeling better.

  • Medication Management & Psychiatric Treatment:
Sometimes, a small change in your meds makes a big difference. We watch how you’re doing and tweak things carefully so you can keep getting better.

  • ADHD Diagnosis & Treatment:
If distractions and racing thoughts are part of your daily life, you’re not alone. We’ll listen, see if ADHD fits, and come up with straight answers—including meds if that’s what helps you focus and feel conpetent again.

  • Ketamine & Spravato Therapy for Depression, Anxiety, Trauma & PTSD:
When regular medicines don’t cut it, these new options can actually turn things around. Many people see relief after just a few sessions—in a space that feels safe and supportive. We’re with you the whole way.
